Abel Mutua has had a distinguished career since we came to witness his script-writing work in the popular Citizen television show Tahidi High.
The man then got married to his beau Judy Nyawira nearly 3 years ago. But what many may not know is that the wedding would most likely not have happened were it not for some timely help.

What had happened exactly? Abel wrote on his social media page and gave out the scoop on how his wedding to his sweetheart was in dire straits 3 days before the big day.
Why? They did not have an MC for the function and all the money they had set aside for the wedding was finished.
He wrote:
IN 2015 MY BABY AND I PLANNED OUR WEDDING IN LESS THAN A MONTH. NO COMMITTEE, NO NOTHING. IT WAS HEAVY. 3 DAYS TO THE EVENT AFTER WE’VE RUN OUT OF CASH IT HITS US THAT WE FORGOT TO GET AN MC.
Dr. Ofweneke revealed this tidbit because he was in his #RandomPeopleAppreciationWeek.
I’M TAKING TIME OFF TO APPRECIATE IND I’M IVIDUALS WHO’VE COME THROUGH FOR ME AT ONE POINT OR THE OTHER AND I’M STARTING WITH THIS GENTLEMAN!
Who could the gentleman be? Off course the formidable comedian Dr. Ofweneke.

I PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL THIS GENTLEMAN RIGHT HERE. MIND YOU WE HAD ONLY MET LESS THAN 3 TIMES BEFORE THIS DAY. I TELL HIM MY STORY AND WITHOUT THINKING TWICE, HE TELLS ME, ‘BRO! ARUSI LAZIMA IFANYIKE. NITUMIE DETAILS ZOTE, KITU IPIGWE!’ HE AGREED TO DO IT FREE OF CHARGE. I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT. THERE ARE GOOD PEOPLE OUT HERE. @DROFWENEKE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM. I CAN ONLY PRAY FOR YOU SIR. HIYO STAGE YA BET LAZIMA UTAKANYAGA. SHUKRAN BABAA. I APPRECIATE YOU.

But what would Dr. Ofweneke’s ex Niccah the Queen agree that he is one of the good guys around? From her previous comments, I don’t think so.

She once wrote on her social media page about the comedian when they ended their marriage:
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS SUCH A BAD THING…I HAD TO WALK AWAY…I HAD TO RUN…YES, I’M A SINGLE MUM OF TWO AND I KNOW GOD WILL WATCH OVER ME AND MY KIDS…
