Conmen operate in all parts of the world. They come clothed in robes, some in pastors, others in the political arena but they do operate in most walks of life.
But the one the public dislikes the most are the ones who wake up every morning scheming how they will take your hard-earned money, the confidence men we call them.
And most likely some of you reading this have had a horrible experience with some of this con-artists. The good news is that one suspect has been arrested in Nairobi.
Johnson Odhiambo Oyieko of ID Number 26122107 a suspected conman has been arrested, after he was found extorting money from patients at Mama Lucy Hospital on the pretext of helping them to get services.
Imagine? A man is trying to swindle hard-working members of the public who are probably also struggling financially. Shameful.
The suspect is behind bars under OB number 27/29/08/2018 as detectives hunt for his accomplices.
This suspected does not hold a candle to Frank Abagnale, probably the greatest conman to ever live. The man impersonated a pilot for 2 years! He also masquerade as a medical supervisor for 11 months.

At other times he worked as a lawyer and even a teacher! After his second arrest, he escaped from his prison by masquerading as an undercover officer of the Bureau of Prisons.
He was again arrested again to serve a 12-year jail term. But his story does have a good ending. While serving his time, the US government offered him his freedom in return for him helping the government pro-bono against fraud and scam artists.
He currently runs Abagnale and Associates, a financial fraud consultancy company and is a multi-millionaire.
