Ugandan police officers have arrested Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine yet again.

Bobi was arrested on Thursday, August 30, night at the Entebe International airport, as he tried to board a plane to London for treatment.

According to eye-witnesses who shared the news online, Bobi was violently 'abducted' by uniformed Ugandan police officers who bundled him into a police ambulance and drove away with him to an unknown destination.

Bobi Wine's second and unexpected arrest came barely a week after he was released from his illegal detention and admitted at Lubaga Hospital in Kampala.

On Thursday, August 23, the Government of Uganda dropped charges against Bobi Wine, following days of angry and bloody protests across the country with people demanding for the MP's freedom.

The Gulu Court Martial gave Bobi Wine his freedom only to be rearrested moments later on the same day.

As reported by kayreporters.blogspot.com earlier, Bobi and 11 other co-accused were finally released on a non-cash bond of USD$1,350.00 and a surety of equal amount and were required to report to Gulu Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 30.

Bobi was set to fly to London for treatment after the release and was at the Kampala hospital waiting for his travel date.

Media reports from Uganda intimated that the MP, with the help of his close allies 'escaped' from the Kampala hospital on Thursday, August 30, ahead of his London trip.

Well, no sooner had he boarded the plane than he was ambushed by the officers, cutting short his journey.

Following his arrest at the Entebbe airport, Ugandans thronged social media and condemned the government for violating human rights.
